College Recruiting made easy

By Arkansas United Soccer Club, 07/09/17, 8:00PM CDT

“Never underestimate the difference you can make in the life of a child.” Michelle Cox - Executive Director – Arkansas United Soccer Club

Arkansas United (#WeARUnited) has teamed up with The Sport Source® (TSS) to the launch the new and improved Members Only College Connection Center designed exclusively for Arkansas United Soccer Club member players and parents.

“From online college tours, admissions requirements, programs of study to team rosters and other vital information players can increase their recruiting opportunities exponentially academically and athletically”, said Michelle Cox Executive Director.

The resume upload area allows for a more accurate profile of the player during the recruiting phase and, the academic calculators support the NCAA/NAIA Eligibility Centers by determining initial eligibility or courses needed.  Parents looking to save money on tuition and fees are using the net price calculator.  Fast and accurate, just insert a GPA and test score and the results are instant.  The college bound video library provides recruiting advice from college coaches and other experts, to remove the myth surrounding the entire process starting in grade 9.  Other benefits include, free practice PSAT/SAT/ACT testing, free mentor support and more.

“Relationship count and TSS continues to provide our families with the personal guidance they need to make an educated decision on which college is right for them.  That’s what I call a great relationship,” added Michelle.

“With few organizations providing players the necessary support to get recruited, many parents are forced into spending hundreds of dollars on a “recruiting service” only to find the results were negligible.  We are committed to making a difference”, said Mark Gibbs Technical Director of Arkansas United.

“Recruiting has changed, and savvy parents are aligning with organizations providing total player development and, that includes college readiness. When it comes to providing families an incredible experience, first class coaching and total player development, Arkansas United continues to be the leader in Arkansas,” said TSS Founder and CEO Charlie Kadupski.

The majority of student and parents believe talented high school students are actively recruited and offered full ride athletic scholarships by Division I college coaches.  The reality is less than 2% of these athletes are “actively recruited” by leading college coaches and 98% must self-recruit.  “With five (5) governing bodies of collegiate sports, 5800 universities and over 2800 offering collegiate soccer our players have options and opportunities, ensuring success long after their playing days have come and gone,” added Mark.
