Dave Marshall Joins Arkansas United Soccer Club

 

Arkansas United is excited to announce that Dave Marshall is joining the Arkansas United team to lead all

Recreational Soccer programs as our new Rec Director. Over 1,800 players aged 3-19 play recreational soccer through our programs.  “We are thrilled about all that Dave will bring to our players, volunteer coaches and our whole community,” said Walter Anger, AUSC president.  
 

Dave comes to Arkansas United from Sporting Arkansas in Bentonville, where he has served as the Sporting Academy Director for several years. He previously served as the Director of Coaching for the Fort Smith Express/River Valley Soccer Club and was key to growing their programs from 400 players to over 1000. He has won numerous awards including the 2002 Region III Adidas NSCAA Youth Girls Coach of the Year and was awarded the 2015 NSCAA Youth Girls Southwest Regional Coach of the Year.. He holds numerous coaching licenses including the USSF Grassroots Instructors License, USSF A license canidate and National Y Badges.
 

Dave was a part of the Dallas coaching community for over 18 years and worked with programs at every level from recreational to college. A product of the DFW soccer community, with over 40 years of involvement as player and coach, he is dedicated to teaching youth athletes the joy of the game.

Dave will spend the summer preparing for the upcoming fall season and getting out to meet the community”, said Michelle Cox, Executive Director of AUSC. “We feel that it is critical to continue to invest in the future of Arkansas Soccer and know Dave Marshall will help bring added success to the next generation of players.”
 

Adding Marshall to the staff allows United to best serve the all the communities of Central Arkansas.  With the continued growth of players and teams north of the river, Justin Hawkins will now bring a full time focus to supporting our members and growing programming of North Little Rock, Conway and Heber Springs.  The future of soccer in Arkansas is bright.
